I offer my deepest sympathies and condolences to the families and friends of the
victims of the Peshawar school massacre in north-west Pakistan.
This callous and brutal crime has resulted in the death of more than 140 innocent victims, overwhelmingly young children, and left many more seriously injured.
It is hard to fathom the cruelty and depravity of this act, which has left a school community, a city and a country in mourning.
I know that members of the Pakistani diaspora living in NSW and across Australia are deeply saddened by news of this attack.
Pakistan is a good friend, with its people known for their generosity and kind spirit.
On behalf of the NSW Government, I join all Pakistani Australians in praying for the survivors and their families, and for justice to be served against the perpetrators.
