Living In Harmony Festival 2014

The City of Sydney’s annual Living in Harmony Festival, kicks off this weekend!

From 1 to 31 March, a diverse range of events will celebrate the communities that enrich Sydney.

Leave your thumbprint on the Harmony Mural at the Redfern Community Centre anytime during March. You can also join in an Aboriginal cultural exchange while you’re there.

Visit Chippendale’s White Rabbit Gallery as it showcases one of the world’s largest private collections of Chinese contemporary art.  Or see the Afghanistan Hidden Treasures from the National Museum of Kabul at the Art Gallery of NSW. The exhibition includes more than 230 priceless treasures that were hidden by courageous staff during the war.

And don’t miss the lively weekends celebrations at Tumbalong Park in Darling Harbour:

  • Anatolian Turkish Festival, 1 and 2 March
  • Thailand Grand Festival, 8 and 9  March
  • Holi Mahotsav, 21 and 23 March

The Lord Mayor will extend a warm welcome to international students with a reception at Town Hall, the first in a series of great workshops, lectures and networking opportunities for those studying in Sydney.
