Twenty US states file petitions to withdraw USA

Washington: Over the last few days, 20 states have filed petitions to secede with the White House to ask that their state withdraws from the union of the United States and create their own new government; most of the requests come from highly conservative states, but a few progressive states like New York and Oregon are included in the lot.

Petitions to secede have been filed from: Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.

Many of the petitions include this Declaration of Independence statement:

Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and institute new Government.
