Sydney; New South Wales parliament passed the resolution for Muslim parliamentarian to take Oath on Holy Quran. The
initiative was taken by a Muslim and well-known Labor parliamentarian Hon. Shaoquett Moselmane and finally New South Wales parliament adopted an addition to the oath taking ceremony on Holy Quran.
Mr. Abdul Aziz Uqaili the Consulate General of Pakistan and Mr. Sardar Balakh Sher Khosa acknowledged the efforts of Hon Shaoquett Moselmane and invited him in the Consulate Office of the Consulate General in Sydney. Recognising the efforts of Hon Shaoquett Moselmane a letter of appreciation was awarded to him by the Consulate Office.
