ANAA memorable performances at Orion Function Centre, Campsie
Sydney (CREF 2014 Report); It was an event not to be missed and will remain in the hearts of all those present as the beautiful

children from Australian Nasheed & Arts Academy (ANAA) sang on stage with promising voices, ‘you are my brother, I am your sister, we are one big family’ – a message of peace & harmony for Multicultural Australia.
The second event of the biggest Ramadan and Eid Festivities in Australia was held at Orion Function Centre, Campsie on Saturday. The event started at mid-day and ended at 7.00pm. Variety of colourful stalls were placed by exhibitors including clothing, jewellery, henna, books, education, and business promotions. The audience was engaged with an exciting children quiz competition on Islamic knowledge including beautiful recitation of Hamd, Naat and Nasheed by the Australian Nasheed and Arts Academy.
Children were given prizes on their excellent performances. It was remarkable to see that young Australian children have vast knowledge on Islam.
The Director, Ramadan Festival, Mr Syed Atiq ul Hassan, said ‘we have been organising the Chand Raat Eid Festival (CREF) for the past 16 years, this is our first year of the Ramadan festival and we have opened this event from Auburn, now it’s our second event in Campsie and next week in Blacktown, I am pleased once again at the response, also support by our exhibitors, sponsors and attendees, the event will grow which will achieve our goal to bring people of all backgrounds together and spread the message of friendship and harmony among various faiths and cultures’.
The Master of Ceremony Sarwat Hassan presented gifts to the Nasheed performers Stephanie Kurlow, Ali Naboulsi, Nada Mougarbei, Amir Eid, Jannah Abdel Latif, Ayah Ayoub, Mariam Ayoub, and Zakaria Dib for their participation and thanked Ms Alsou Kurlow, Director of ANAA for their wonderful support.
Harris, 8 years old, captivated the audience as he recited the Surah Yasin (a surah from the Quran) for the audience which he memorised by heart. Hamza, Souliha, Denine and Altaf participated in quiz competition who also received gifts.
Iftaar was served to the attendees by the organisers. The food stall was placed by Tandoori at Church Parramatta. Blacktown
The next event of Ramadan Festival will be held on Saturday, 19th of July 2014 at Bowman Hall (Blacktown Art Centre) Campbell Street Blacktown NSW 2148, from mid-day to 7pm.
The massive mega 16th event of Chand Raat Eid Festival will be held on 27th of July at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse, Rosehill (next to Parramatta) from 4pm to midnight and 29th of July at Sydney Olympic Park from 10am to evening.
