Sydney; Media Release from PTI Sydney Chapter, 28 Nov 2024: The PTI Sydney Chapter strongly condemns the tragic and shocking loss of life in Islamabad, following reports of a targeted attack by Pakistan Army forces under the cover of darkness. This heinous incident, labelled as a terrorist act, has claimed the lives of between 150 and 500 individuals, leaving a deep scar on the Pakistani community at home and abroad.
The PTI Sydney Chapter and the broader Pakistani-Australian community stand united in mourning the martyrs and in seeking justice for this devastating loss. To honour the victims and express collective outrage, the PTI Sydney Chapter has announced a series of actions:
- Protest Rallies: Demonstrations will be held in front of the Office of the Pakistani Military Attaché in Canberra and the Australian Federal Parliament. These protests aim to highlight the ongoing oppression and demand accountability.
- Expulsion Demand: Protesters will call for the expulsion of the Pakistani Military Attaché from Australia as a stand against the atrocities.
- Ghaibana Namaz-e-Janaza: A funeral prayer in absentia for the martyrs will take place to honour their sacrifice.
