Members of All Pakistan Muslim League (APML), the party of Former President of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf, hosted 
an event to mark the occasion of Pakistan Day. Apart from the members of APML, several supporters of Gen (Rtd.) Pervez Musharraf attended the event. Other guest included, local senior and international journalist from various broadcasting networks and newspapers.
Gen. Secretary of APML, UAE Mr. M G Shahzad whilst addressing the occasion said, “74 years ago, it was on this day when milestone demand for the right of Muslims of India were set which lead to the creation of our beloved motherland, Pakistan. This day in the history of Pakistan shows the great determination, resilience and dedication of our forefathers to build our great nation”. He added, “In the present time, Pakistan is faced by many challenges, internal / external threats and instability but we as nation have come from a long way since our independence in 1947. As long as, we follow the motto of our great leader Syed Pervez Musharraf of Pakistan 1st, we shall achieve greater goals for Pakistan”. He passed best wishes on behalf of Syed Pervez Musharraf, the head of APML to all the attendees and also updated them on the biased cases against him. During the discussion he said “On the 24th of March
it will mark a year since our leader, Gen (Rtd.) Pervez Musharraf flew to Pakistan to lead his party in Election 2013. However, judicial victimization ended up unconstitutionally banning him from taking part in Elections. Although, its will be a year but our leaders fight against all the fabricated cases continues”. He also said, “We will stand besides him and support him because we know that his fight against the status quo is sincere and his vision for the people of Pakistan is selfless.” In addition to this he also announced new appointments in APML UAE.
The attendees, on this occasion prayed for the prosperity of Pakistan and talked about how dearly they missed being in Pakistan. They also, voiced their concerns about the continued judicial victimization of their leader Gen (Rtd.) Pervez Musharraf. Terming all cases baseless against him, they hoped that he will soon be allowed to travel to Dubai to meet his ailing mother and be amongst his team here as they dearly miss him.
All Pakistan Muslim League (APML), was launched by Gen (Rtd.) Pervez Musharraf in 2010. The party was named after the historical political part lead by Mohammed Ali Jinnah, which lead to the independence of Pakistan, All India Muslim League. APML has large following across the globe and in Pakistan, in the elections of 2013 APML won 1 provisional and 1 national assembly seat despite the unconstitutional ban on their leader Pervez Musharraf to contest for elections.
