selected for the Tests and ODIs. Interestingly Shaheen Shah Afridi, who also missed the last two Test, lost his place in test team. According to PCB press realise, Shaheen Shah Afridi, has been picked for the white-ball matches as part of his workload management so that he is in his best fitness and form for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Shaheen Afridi replaced by 34 year old Muhammad Abbas, Abbas make his place on the base of his domestic cricket performance ,His latest season in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy back home in Pakistan has also been outstanding. He is the tournament’s second-highest wicket-taker so far, with 31 in five matches, including a 10-wicket haul in his most recent match.
But his record in the Test arena is outstanding. His 90 wickets have come at 23.02 runs apiece – an average only bettered by Imran Khan among all those to have taken at least 50 wickets for Pakistan.
Pakistan’s last tour of South Africa was successful, as visitors win odi series by 2-1 and t20 series by 3-1.
Ironically, man of the series of ODI, Fakhar Zaman ignored for this upcoming tour of South Africa.
