Fair promoting Islamic food, fashion and culture begins in Russian capital
MOSCOW, (Russia) — The sixth Moscow International Halal Exposition opened on Thursday. Russian and foreign producers, including representatives of Turkish, Iranian, British, Saudi, Indonesian and Malaysian companies, will present their halal products and services during the three-day expo,
During seminars conducted by experts from international research institutes and finance companies, participants will have the opportunity to exchange opinions on halal certification and market development, Islamic finance, banking and insurance.
The program also includes a day of Islamic culture during which visitors will be able to observe new trends in Muslim fashion and cuisine as well as view Islamic art and listen to traditional Muslim songs.
The expo held at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre will last until Saturday.
Halal food is prepared in the manner prescribed by Islamic law and involves slaughtering animals while a dedication is pronounced. The carcass is then drained of its blood.
