Latest update about the impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Sydney (Tribune International, Release from Member for Kingsford Smith, 24 July 2020): Latest update to provide you with information about the impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) on our community.

Matt Thistlethwaite

A reminder that new compliance measures are now in place within NSW as of today.

NSW Government restrictions on pubs have been extended to restaurants, bars cafés and clubs with a limit on group bookings to a maximum of 10 people.

Weddings and corporate events are limited to 150 people subject to the four square metre rule and registration as a COVID-Safe business from today. It’s important to note that activities including choirs and dancing aren’t allowed.

Funerals and places of worship will also be limited to 100 people, subject to the one person per four square metre rule and a COVID-Safe business registration.

The rules on other gatherings remain the same with 20 guests permitted inside the home and 20 for gatherings in a public place.

We still need to ensure no further spread of COVID-19 in our community. Please maintain 1.5 metres between others and if you are sick or feeling unwell, stay at home and consult your GP.

My staff and I are here to help you. Please call my office on 9349 6007, email matt.thistlethwaite.mp@aph.gov.au or reach me via Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
