A meeting of working group between Halal Expo Australia and the key Indonesian trade and development players in Australia was held in the office of the Consulate of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia on Friday the 5th of January. Mr. Dicky Soerjanatamihardja, Consul for Economic Affairs, Consulate General; Mr. Agung Haris, Director of Indonesia Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) Sydney; Mrs. Sri Moertiningroem, Director of Indonesia Investment Promotion Center (IIPC)-Sydney; and Ms Silvia Malau, Consul for Economic Affairs represented Indonesia whereas Syed Atiq ul Hassan, Director HEA 2018; Ms. Sarwat Hassan, Event Manager HEA 2018 and Mr. Suffan Hassan, Operational Manager HEA 2018 attended the meeting. Both sides agreed to work together to involve Indonesian business community in Indonesia and Australia in Halal Expo Australia and provide them maximum opportunity to showcase the Indonesian products & services. The working group further agreed to particularly promote Indonesian tourist destination especially Lombok as the best tourist location.

In this regard, a large group of exhibitors from Indonesia, speakers and many delegates are expected to attend Halal Expo Australia 2018, to be held on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th of February at Rosehill Gardens, Sydney. A special section will be designed for Indonesian exhibitors in the exhibition hall. Well-known speakers from Indonesia will join the International Halal Conference 2018 and local Indonesian cultural groups will participate in the stage activities over the 2 days.
