Harry Potter is soon going to be on bookshelf with an eight installment of the two-part play
Eighth Harry Potter book is set to be released this summer. The book will include the script for the upcoming stage play, which is centered on Harry being a father.
The book tells a story about Harry being a father and an overworked Ministry of Magic employee. The play was written based on an original story by J.K. Rowling, who wrote all seven Harry Potter books, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany.
On July 31 the “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” story will be available to wider audiences in both book and eBook formats.
The eBook will be published simultaneously with the print editions by Pottermore, Rowling’s digital entertainment and e-commerce company, in collaboration with Little, Brown Book Group in the United Kingdom; and Scholastic in the United States and Canada.
The first book of the Harry Potter series was released in the year 1997 and the last book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II came out in 2011.
The “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” stage play will be a two-part epic set 19 years after J.K. Rowling’s “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” and will feature a storyline that revolves around an adult Harry and his son Albus.
The last scene from the last book of the series was Harry Potter saying goodbye to his children at Platform Nine and Three-Quarters. The new book will, as reported, start from this scene.
Jamie Parker, Noma Dumezweni and Paul Thornley will play Harry, Hermione and Ron in the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child stage play.
David Shelley CEO of Little, Brown Book Group, said, ‘We are so thrilled to be publishing the script of ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.’
Rowling’s best-selling, seven-volume Harry Potter series was published between 1997 and 2007 and has sold over 450 million copies worldwide.
