Bangkok (Report by Sulida Wangchi): Minister of Tourism and Sports H.E. Pipat Ratchakitprakarn is leading the charge to make the Songkran Festival in Hat Yai bigger and better than ever
before. His goal is to develop Hat Yai into a city of festivals and make it a go-to destination for tourists looking for fun and excitement.
To achieve this, the Minister has assigned the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to work with the Hat Yai Municipality and local entrepreneurs to organize a great Songkran Festival in Hat Yai District. The festival is expected to attract visitors from all over, and will feature a quirky Songkran celebration with a focus on lifestyle and good vibes.
Tourists can look forward to the Amazing Thailand Fun Fest 2023 @ Songkhla, which will take place on Chalatat beach from April 15-16. The event promises water fun, music, delicious street food, and a variety of exciting workshops held under the pine forest on the beach. Visitors will have the opportunity to join in on the water splashing fun with well-known artists and DJs, including TWOPEE, D GERRARD, GAVIN D, WHAL AND DOLPH.
The highlight of the festival is the music yard of Chalatat beach in Songkhla, where visitors can get wet in style while enjoying the performances.
