State-wide Cultural Diversity Celebration in Victoria

Cultural Diversity Week is running from 16­ – 24 March, giving Victorians a a state-wide celebration of our cultural, linguistic and religious diversity. 

During the Week, hundreds of events and activities will take place across the State as Victorians come together to celebrate community harmony and denounce racism.

Cultural Diversity Week is run by the Victorian Multicultural Commission (VMC) and held annually to coincide with the United Nations day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on 21 March.

Celebrate the many cultures that enrich our community at the fifth annual Viva Victoria multicultural festival! Taking place at Federation Square, Melbourne on Sunday 24 March from 12 – 6pm, this free family-friendly event carries a rich program of exciting music and dance performances across four stages, featuring some of Victoria’s finest multicultural performers. 

You can also enjoy cultural workshops; free kids activities and face painting in a dedicated kids zone; a quality arts and crafts market-place; tempting cuisine from all corners of the globe; a licensed beer garden; roving performers and much more.
