Halal Food Expo 2015 enables Muslim & non-Muslim particpants to learn about the history of halal food practices; Victor Dominello Minister Citizenship

Sydney (Tribune International); The Minister for Citizenship and Communities, Victor Dominello has released the following message for ‘Halal Food Expo (HFE) 2015.

Message from Minister Victor Domenillo  on Halal Food Expo‘I extend my best wishes to everyone attending this year’s Sydney Halal Food Expo.

This annual expo enables Muslim and non-Muslim participants to learn about the history of halal food practices and sample the best of halal produce available in NSW.’

‘Event organiser, Syed Atiq ul Hassan was the winner of the 2014 Stepan Kerkyasharian AO Harmony Award. Mr Hassan was recognised for his contribution to the promotion of inter-cultural harmony in NSW through multicultural events, forums and news media.

Mr Hassan is also director of the popular Chant Raat Eid Festival, which celebrates the end of Ramadan and Eid and in July the 18th festival will be held.’

‘Community harmony grows out of knowledge and understanding and the Sydney Halal Food Expo provides a forum to broaden our knowledge of the cultural practices associated with halal food.’

‘I wish the organisers and participants every success for this year’s event.’

Note that Halal Food Expo is the first event of its kind Australia and will be every year as a mega multicultural event. It is an open family event for all ages where there will be variety of halal food stalls of different Islamic ethnic restaurants, halal products manufactures & retail suppliers, kids colour competition, Special appearance AFL Star, Australian Master Chef Contestant, Cricket clinic & competitions, Soccer competitions,  rides& entertainment, Firework and much more.
