Sydney (Press Release from Thunder): Allen Singh (19), Sahibpreet Singh (24), Sulfiquar Salahuddin (24), Arpan Spahi (33) and Viren Singh (29) have secured the final positions at the Sydney Thunder Community Rookie Trials after a strong showing at the India MoneyGram Thunder Nation Cup Tournament. With the 6 MoneyGram Thunder Nation Cup Community Rounds now complete, it is time to turn the attention to the MoneyGram Thunder Nation Cup Semi-Finals, which will be held at Auburn Park on November 15th. It is here where the winning teams from each community day will battle it out for the chance to represent their nation at Spotless Stadium in front of a Sydney Thunder home crowd and be crowned MoneyGram Thunder Nation Cup Champions.
There was some unbelievable cricket played at the India MoneyGram Thunder Nation Cup Community Day with impressive play with both bat and ball. The Super Sikhs looked like the team to beat after some big wins early on, but came up against a very talented Dashmesh All Stars outfit in the final. In what was the closet final of all MoneyGram Thunder Nation Cup Community Days, it was Dashmesh All Stars crowned champions courtesy of some standout performances from A.Singh, S.Singh and S.Salahuddin, all of which were invited to the Community Rookie Trials.

All MoneyGram Thunder Nation Cup Community Rounds are now complete, with the following teams to represent their community in the MoneyGram Thunder Nation Cup Semi-Finals; Canberra Pakistani’s (Pakistan), Laligurans (Nepal), Davis 8 (Sri Lanka), Afghan Stars (Afghanistan), Mighty Assassins (Bangladesh) and Dashmesh All Stars (India).
