A Nation Marching towards D Chowk Islamabad, creating history for a New Pakistan. Pakistan Stands United in Protest at the Capital Islamabad
Report by Syed Atiq ul Hassan
Tribune International Report, 5 Oct 2024: A thunderous and heartfelt salute to the brave and resilient people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, North Punjab, Rawalpindi, and Islamabad. Today, they are the heartbeat of a historic movement, as their powerful march towards D-Chowk in Islamabad echoes through the nation and beyond. The people of Pakistan have spoken with unwavering resolve: they demand a transformation—an end to a corrupt and deceitful system that has plagued their beloved country for decades.
In their stand against corruption, oppression, and tyranny, the Pakistani nation has sent a loud, unequivocal message to the world: enough is enough. With unwavering determination, Pakistanis have risen behind their leader, Imran Khan, demanding justice and a new era of governance. This powerful protest is not just a cry for change; it is a roar that can be heard across borders, as Pakistanis unite to purge their highest institutions from those who have abused power and failed the people.
The unity and courage of this great nation are truly inspiring. Witnessing tens of thousands of citizens gathering in the heart of Islamabad, standing shoulder to shoulder at D-Chowk, demanding the release of Imran Khan, fills every Pakistani heart with pride. These courageous men, women, and even children have defied the odds, staring down intimidation, threats, and the presence of military forces. They are driven by a burning desire for a better future, one where justice prevails, and their leader stands once more among them, leading the charge for real and lasting change.
This is more than a protest—it is a movement, a revolution for Pakistan’s soul. Every chant, every step taken by these brave souls is a testament to their unshakable faith in justice and their dream for a new Pakistan. These people are not just demanding the release of a political leader—they are demanding the revival of hope, dignity, and the sanctity of the nation’s governing bodies. Their courage serves as a tribute to the resilience of the Pakistani spirit.
The corrupt have been exposed and stand powerless in the face of this uprising. The likes of Mohsin Naqvi, the illegitimate puppet of military generals and a product of wealth obtained through ill-gotten means, have been buried under the weight of the public’s anger. The remnants of the Bhutto dynasty and the misguided politics of Bilawal Zardari have been swept aside as irrelevant relics of the past. The Sharif family is scrambling to flee the country, while the once formidable Pakistan People’s Party lies in ruins. The people have had enough of these corrupt dynasties, and they are now demanding a system that represents the true spirit of Pakistan.
In the midst of this historic moment, we must extend a special salute to Amin Khan Gandapur, Chief Minister of KPK, a fearless soldier of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and a true believer in Imran Khan’s vision for a unified federation. He, along with the millions of Pakistanis who have gathered in Islamabad, exemplifies what it means to be fearless in the face of injustice. They stand tall, not just for their province, but for the entire nation, embodying the unrelenting spirit of those fighting for change.
The call from this protest is clear and resolute—do not stop. Keep marching. Do not leave D-Chowk until Imran Khan is free and leading the people of Pakistan toward the dawn of a new era. The nation stands united behind this call for a better Pakistan, one free from the shackles of corruption, deceit, and tyranny.
The next battle line has been drawn. The people of Punjab are being called to rise, to stand as one at Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore on Saturday, October 5, 2024. PTI leaders are urging the people of Punjab to join their fearless brothers and sisters from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Rawalpindi, and Islamabad. The world must see that the entire nation stands united in this fight for justice, equality, and reform. “Show the world that you, too, are ready to fight for a new Pakistan. Fear has no place in this movement for justice,” they say.
The corrupt, anti-national forces will try to divide the people. They will attempt to create chaos by pitting the army against the public. Soldiers have been deployed to Islamabad, but let it be known—Pakistan’s soldiers are the pride of this nation. The people respect them, and a few rogue generals cannot tarnish the honours and dignity of those who serve. The Pakistan Army protects this nation’s mothers, sisters, and elders; they are not the enemy of unarmed protesters. To the soldiers, the message is clear: do not be misled by figures like Mohsin Naqvi and Faisal Vawda, whose disgraceful actions do not represent the values of the Pakistan Army.
Karachi and Sindh, your call to action is coming. Imran Khan will soon summon the people of Sindh to join the nationwide protest. Karachi, the heart of Pakistan’s economic power, will rise, and the people of Sindh will show the world that they stand with Imran Khan, willing to sacrifice for the unity and dignity of their country.
Pakistan stands on the cusp of history. The winds of change are blowing, and the people of this great nation will no longer be silenced. Together, they will build a new Pakistan—a Pakistan of justice, unity, and hope.
