Message to the Chand Raat Eid festival (CREF) 2014

The Chand Raat Eid Festival has thrived as an opportunity for the community to come together over Ramadan and Eid each year.

It is communities and organisations such as Chand Raat who play an important role in a multicultural Australia, promoting harmony and friendship through events like the Chand Raat Eid Festival.

I want to thank Chand Raat for encouraging this festival as a time where Islamic and non-Islamic communities can come together in friendship and harmony.

This year, I look forward to the festival being hosted in Parramatta, a centre of multiculturalism in Sydney.

I would also like to extend my very best wishes to you all for Ramadan and Eid for a life of peace, health and blessings.f

Eid is an auspicious occasion and I wish you all happiness and joy through this time.

Thank you for demonstrating to our wider community the true life and beauty of your faith and culture.

Yours sincerely,
